For the second book since the setting is of a Halloween theme my original thought was to have the book to be the elder of the town who knows everything about the town and the holiday but also knowing the dark secrets of the town. Overall being a sweet old lady who is very welcoming, references wise I was thinking The Duke from RE8 as his personality is very welcoming and in the game is the only friendly face the player sees (Ethan) for majority of the game as he pops up from time to time.
